Time can only go forward, and so everything in the world continues on. Only the mind can go backwards in time, seeking what happened before. So before one's life becomes merely a singularly one directional meaningless journey of fleeting images and emotions, why not travel back in time and relive the past with your mind's eye, ruminating your own life-- else one forgets everything and everyone that entered into his or her life
this turf has expensice grass so do not go onto turf
this house is made of glass so do not throw stones
these cities are made of glass so do not fire missles
these hearts are meant to beat so let the beating be heard
Perfection is utterly unattainable. Utopia is never possible. There will never be a perfect man. But there is a need to continue pursuing these models, like a plant relentlessly striving for the sun but never reaching it. But then again there is the story of Icarus and his wings of wax
If Man was perfect there would be no need for God
If God was perfect there would be no need for Man
Vegetarians say that God gave us food in the form of plants so that we would not kill animals for food
Then why does this God give us stone to make spearheads and metal to make knives and show us animals eating other animals and bestow upon us an inherent inclination to eat meat
